is reaching out
Most cancer Patients, including people with lung, prostate or breast cancer, require chemotherapy treatment, which can last up to 8
hours each time.
Current facilities are up to their maximum capacity, despite adapting the waiting area for administering treatment.
Further space is needed to deliver complex new drugs and Chemotherapy regimes, to cope with increased referrals and avoid long
waiting lists.
The new building will provide :-
• Two large areas for giving Chemotherapy treatments.
• A designated room to administer PICC Line Chemotherapy. (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters)
• Space to develop more clinical trials, so that local cancer patients will have access to some of the newest treatments available.
• Better facilities to cope with increased referrals.
